Heart Healthy Recipe...

Safe Soup

1 16 oz package frozen mixed vegetables1 16 oz package frozen chopped okra1 16 oz package lima beans1 very large onion, cut up and chopped12 oz fresh kale, stems removed and chopped4 large potatoes, chopped1 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced1 qt. water1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes1 28 oz can no-oil tomato sauce2 16 oz cans whole tomatoes, sliced

The following to taste:
Oregano Whole bay leaves
Black pepper Basil
Red pepper Thyme
Marjoram Cinnamon
Garlic powder

Combine all ingredients in a soup pot. Bring to boil. Lower heat and simmer, covered, for 2 hours.
